Spring Break at Home-Day 3

This morning, I had the hardest time waking up.  I really got started when I decided to get dressed.  I did let the kids watch a little more TV this morning then usual, but I was able to do my devotion and read for at least 15 minutes uninterrupted (a daily goal of mine.)  My poor coffee though.  I had to microwave it at least twice and, by then, its whole chemical make up had changed. I never finished it.

At this point, it had been microwaved twice.

At this point, it had been microwaved twice.

I didn’t have a specific craft idea for the kids today and left them to themselves for most of the afternoon.  The activities they chose really show their personalities:

I even spied the older two silent reading at one time or another today while I was cleaning.  This makes my heart so happy!

My one major goal today was to bake something.  Origianlly, I wanted to do Snickerdoodles and then discovered I didn’t have all the ingredients.  I looked up “easy cookie recipes” online and found one for Peanut Butter cookies.  My sweet princess girl was the only one interested in helping.

Afterwords, we got ready and met Daddy at the local kids’ museum.  We only had about an hour before closing time, but it was great and most families had already gone home.  We all but had the place to ourselves.

Afterwords, we Redboxed Rise of the Guardians for the third time.  We’re watching it as I type, movie-theater style, with every single light in the house turned off.

Another great day.  (I even managed a few rounds of laundry!)
